Men’s national volleyball team: key game against Croatia for European qualification
The men’s national volleyball team meets the Croatian team as part of the European Championship qualifier (7/8, 8:30 p.m.).
The men’s national team is playing its first home game for Euro 2023 qualifiers as they meet “Makis Liugas” at the closed Glyfada Stadium on Sunday 7 August for the 2/8, 20:30 ERT-3).
The Blue and Whites, who toppled Norway’s home game 2-0 to 2-3 in the tournament’s premiere, aim to double their group wins and take another step towards qualifying for the Eurovolley 2023 finals. Croatia come to Greece for their first away game, where they made an ideal debut by beating Cyprus 3-0 in a set.
Croatia will travel with the same squad as their national team coach Cedric Enard at the Mediterranean Games in Oran, where it was the last meeting between us as our national team lost 3-0 in the quarter-finals of the competition.
“Tomorrow’s game is the most important until the next one. “Croatia won first place in the European Silver League, gold in the Mediterranean and are theoretically the strongest team in the group that has the same goal as us, which is to qualify for the European Championship qualify,” he said Thanasis Protopsaltis The international winger adds: “For our part, we want the people who come to the stadium to be by our side and each of us individually gives as much as possible for the team so that in the end we can get the qualification”.
In total, Greece have played against Croatia 15 times in official matches or friendlies, but we only met once in a European qualifier and that was in 2000.
