The teams of Tatarstan and St. Petersburg won their matches of the volleyball tournament of the Spartakiad

The second matches of the second round of the Volleyball Spartakiad among men’s national teams of the Russian Federation took place.

In Moscow, the team of St. Petersburg proved to be stronger than the team of the Novosibirsk Region 3:1 (25:18, 26:28, 25:18, 29:27).

In Odintsovo, the team of the Republic of Tatarstan defeated the representatives of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra — 3:0 (25:23, 25:16, 25:22).

After four games, representatives of Tatarstan are in first place with 15 points, and Novosibirsk Region is in second place (11). St. Petersburg has 9 points, Moscow has 6 points so far and the game is in hand.

The final and the match for third place will take place on August 21 in Moscow. The first two teams of the group tournament will meet in the final, and the 3rd and 4th teams will meet in the bronze match.

The women’s tournament of the Spartakiad in volleyball among the national teams of the Russian Federation has also started.

In Tula, the team of the Saratov region won the team of the Sverdlovsk region — 3:0 (25:22, 25:18, 25:18)

The first – third rounds should be held in Kaliningrad and Tula.

The teams will finish the round-robin tournament in Moscow and Odintsovo. Following the results of this tournament, the match for 3rd place and the final will take place. As in the men’s tournament, the first two teams of the group tournament will take part in the final, and the 3rd and 4th teams will take part in the match for bronze awards. The final will be held in Moscow on August 27.
