The head coach of the Tatarstan men’s volleyball team, Alexei Verbov, said on the air of the Match TV channel that in the match of the Spartakiad of the strongest against the team of the Novosibirsk Region, he tried to deliberately put the players in unusual situations, for example, he took a timeout on serving his team.
In the sixth round of the main stage of the Spartakiad, the team of Tatarstan won the team of the Novosibirsk region with a score of 3:1 (19:25, 25:17, 25:19, 25:22). This victory was the sixth in a row for volleyball players from Tatarstan in the tournament.
– We ourselves tried to create unusual situations for them (volleyball players). The player himself later thanked me, saying, thank you, coach, I exhaled myself. But it all worked out in the end,” Verbov said.
The Spartakiad of the strongest started on August 10 and will end on October 2.
