The central blocking team of the Tula region Ekaterina Lyubushkina summed up the match of the 2nd round of the women’s volleyball tournament of the Spartakiad against the Saratov region.
The meeting took place in Tula and ended with the defeat of the hosts with a score of 1:3. For them, this is the second defeat in the tournament. Lyubushkina said that at a tournament of this level, mistakes that her team allows itself should not be made.
– After yesterday’s loss, we really wanted to rehabilitate ourselves, and the first game, in general, showed this. Now I can not answer why the second batch was such a failure. Immediately gave the advantage to the opponent, which was very difficult to win back. It seems to me that there are a lot of shutdowns in our game. We somehow lose concentration and at some moments we make childish mistakes that are unacceptable at this level. I want to say a huge thank you to our fans. What they do is hard to describe in words. On August 19, in the third round, the Tula region will play against the Sverdlovsk region, and the team from Saratov will face the representatives of Tatarstan.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
