The head coach of the women’s volleyball team of the Sverdlovsk region Mikhail Karpol summed up the match of the 2nd round of the Spartakiad of the strongest against the national team of Tatarstan.
Despite the defeat (1:3), Karpol called the positive aspects of participating in the tournament. On the first day of the tournament, the players from the Sverdlovsk region with a score of 0:3 lost to the representatives of Saratov.
“Today we definitely played better than the day before. We are starting to build relationships a little bit. Today we introduced a new player into our game, our very young talent, 15-year-old Dasha Musienko. She did a phenomenal job today. This is the goal, because many perceive us as Uralochka, which took silver last season, but this is not correct, we have a completely new team. And it’s always interesting, so an interesting path awaits us, where there will be ups and downs, – Karpol is quoted by the official website of the Spartakiad.
“We played better today. It is already clear that girls understand our requirements more. So we are moving forward, there is always something to strive for, where to grow, and we do this from training to training, from match to match. Substitutions worked well today, the girls came out and helped the team. The game is changing and changing for the better, so I congratulate everyone on this victory,” said Sergey Sikachev, head coach of the Republic of Tatarstan team, whose team won two victories at the start of the Spartakiad.
On August 19, the teams of Tatarstan and the Saratov region, leading in the standings with the same indicators (two wins each and a total difference of 6:1 sets) will play each other.
