For the volleyball players of the Belgorod region team, the result at the Spartakiad was not a paramount task, Sergey Tetyukhin, general director of Belogorye, told Match TV.
On Sunday, the Moscow men’s team defeated the Belgorod Region team 3:0 (25:18, 25:15, 25:19) in the bronze medal match of the Spartakiad volleyball tournament. The Belgorod Region team was represented by the Belogorye players.
– We did not prioritize the result at the Spartakiad. This is the beginning of the season, everyone was preparing and preparing for the Russian Championship. We had a goal to look at our young players, newcomers, to check game interactions. The result is exactly what we deserve. Our team left a good impression. Literally in 10 days we played 8 matches, it’s not easy, it’s traumatic. The teams do not have such a margin of safety and two equivalent compositions. But all our players showed character, desire, the guys did it. I can’t blame a single guy for anything, this is the main indicator for us.
And today’s match for third place showed where we need to strive, what level of volleyball we want to achieve, if we want any results. Everything was obvious today, I hope everyone has drawn conclusions,” Tetyukhin told Match TV.

The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.
