Volleyball player Roman Poroshin is one of the best Russian setters, he proved it with his game, including at the Spartakiad, said the head coach of Zenit Kazan Alexei Verbov.
In the off-season, Poroshin moved from Zenit to Belogorye Belgorod. At the Spartakiad, Poroshin played for the national team of the Republic of Tatarstan, which won gold, defeating the team of St. Petersburg (3-0) in the final.
– The emotions are great after the final and such a great game, a positive atmosphere. Today’s match was similar to the final. Before that, the games were held somewhere in silence, there was not enough drive, but today it’s a completely different story.
We see off Roma Poroshin, we send him to Belgorod. I am very happy for him, as he played the Spartakiad for us. For me, this is really one of the best binders in Russia. I said this last year before the start of the season, and now he has proved it once again. We had a wonderful tournament and largely thanks to Poroshin. The guys thanked him after the match.
And so all the good fellows with us, everyone endured, because it’s really a crazy load. Not a single person complained, did not give up. From the first to the last ball, as we started our journey, so we ended it. At the same time, we all have a certain understatement about last season inside. The start of this season is very important for us. We must prove every day, every minute that we are the best, we are the strongest. I think no one had any questions about this at the Spartakiad, – Verbov told reporters.
