Teams of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Saratov region and FT “Sirius” won their matches at the women’s volleyball tournament of the Spartakiad
Matches of the fifth round of the women’s tournament of the Spartakiad in volleyball among the national teams of the regions of the Russian Federation took place.
Two games took place in Moscow. The team of the Federal Territory “Sirius” defeated the team of the Sverdlovsk Region – 3:0 (25:21, 25:16, 25:12). The Moscow team won against the representatives of the Tula region – 3:1 (20:25, 25:22, 25:15, 25:15).
Two matches were also played in Odintsovo. The Tatarstan national team lost to the representatives of St. Petersburg — 1:3 (25:19, 30:32, 25:27, 21:25). The team of the Saratov region defeated the team of the Kaliningrad region — 3:2 (27:29, 25:13, 21:25, 25:23, 15:10).
After five rounds in the standings, the team of Tatarstan is leading with 12 points, followed by Moscow (11), Kaliningrad region (11), FT “Sirius” (8), Saratov region (8).
In the match for the 3rd place, the teams that took the third and fourth places in the group stage will play. In the final – the first and second teams of the group stage. Both medal meetings will be held on 27 August.

Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2 (25:20, 25:17, 18:25, 23:25, 15:12) in favor of the Kazan team.
In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.

In the other semi-final, which will take place later on Thursday, St. Petersburg and Kazan Zenit will meet.
The final match will take place on December 26.
