Women’s Volley League: Pannaxiakos are not going under, with 12 teams in the league
Without Pannaxiakou’s participation, the new women’s volleyball championship will be played as the Naxos team withdrew their participation declaration and the 2022/23 season will have 12 teams instead of 13.
This year’s Women’s Volley League will be played with one team fewer as Pannaxiakos has withdrawn and will not take part in the new Women’s A1 Championship. This means that the championship will be played with 12 teams instead of 13 as there will be no replacement for the island team.
Plus in their league Men’s Pre League Philippos Verias did not participate, Heraklis was the team with the best chance of taking his place.

“At the 61st meeting of the EOPE Board, held on Thursday 18 August, it was decided:
The non-completion of a team in the women’s volleyball league, according to the recent document of the Pannaxia AON The team of Naxos withdrew its declaration of participation. The championship will be held with the 12 teams that have registered to participate.
APS did not compete in the Men’s Pre League Championship. Philip Verias. The Board of Directors decided on the completion of the category in accordance with Article 10 of the General Regulations for the Organization and Conducting of Championships and the award of a wild card to a team from Zone B, establishing the following criteria:
A. Mandatory: Zone B team

1. Own facilities
2. Specifications for Conducting Volleyball Games (Painted Court, Approved Ground)
3. Availability of facilities to meet the needs of national teams
In the Championship of Category A2 National Category Women B’ Zone, in which the federation AO Kavalas declared its inability to participate, the Board of Directors decided not to finish the category and to hold the Championship with 12 teams. Also the change in the start date of the games from 8.10. to 10/29/2022.
In the championship of category A2 National Men’s, the board awarded a wild card to the club APS Ifaistos from Florina”.
