Men’s Olympic volleyball: Hidalgo came to Athens on behalf of the Red and Whites
Cuban winger Salvador Hidalgo Oliva arrived in Athens on Thursday evening (25/8) on behalf of Olympiacos to join the Red and White squad.
Cuban Salvador Hidalgo Oliva is the new winger for the Olympiacos men’s volleyball team and one of the big names in the squad ahead of the new competitive season.
The experienced volleyball player arrived in the evening Thursday (25.8.) pAthens stands up for the red-whites together with his family and is integrated into the squad.
In recent years he has competed with the Fenerbahce side, winning his last championship with the Turkish side in the 2018/19 season.

Kazan “Zenit” became the winner of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
On Friday, the Kazan team beat Lokomotiv from Novosibirsk – 3-1 (25:19, 25:17, 23:25, 25:21).
Zenit won the Russian Super Cup for the third year in a row. In total, the Kazan team has a record 11 victories in the tournament. Lokomotiv took part in the decisive matches for the trophy four times, but were defeated each time.
For the first time in history, the Russian Super Cup was held in the Final Four format. All meetings took place in St. Petersburg.

Kazan “Zenit” defeated “Zenith” from St. Petersburg in the semi-finals of the Russian Volleyball Super Cup among men’s teams.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3-2 (25:20, 25:17, 18:25, 23:25, 15:12) in favor of the Kazan team.
In the other semi-final earlier on Thursday, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk defeated Dynamo Moscow in four sets.
The final match between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on Friday, starting at 19:30 Moscow time.
