The victory at the Spartakiad was really very important for the volleyball players of the Moscow national team, according to the diagonal team of Moscow and the capital Dynamo, world champion Natalia Goncharova.
On Saturday, the volleyball players of the Moscow national team defeated the team of the Republic of Tatarstan with a score of 3:0 in the finals of the Spartakiad. The Moscow national team was represented by volleyball players from the capital’s Dynamo.
– I’m very happy. I think that every girl in our team is happy. The trainers are also very happy. We trained a lot and really wanted to win the Spartakiad. This victory was very important for us. Now we are happy to go on a well-deserved weekend.
– What are your plans for the weekend?
– Rest! Most likely, I will go somewhere outside the city, to a reservoir. Maybe fishing.
— How difficult was it to play 8 matches in 11 days?
– It is very difficult, especially since four games in a row were without days off. If there is such a tournament next year, we need to consider that the teams have more days off and the athletes are in good shape, not tired.
– Due to what did you win the team of Tatarstan so confidently?
– Due to the fact that we are a single team. We all really wanted to win, we all tried and fought for each other,” Goncharova told reporters.

A doctor from the Yenisei volleyball club provided emergency assistance to a child on board the plane
The doctor of the men’s volleyball club “Yenisei” from Krasnoyarsk, Shakhriyar Mirzoev, provided emergency assistance to the boy on board the plane.
The incident happened during the New Year holidays on the Kazan-Krasnoyarsk flight. The specialist noticed that the man and child were in the toilet for 20 minutes, and the flight attendant came in there periodically.
“I approached and saw that a boy of about nine was standing at the sink filled with water and blood. At that moment, the flight attendant began to ask if there was a doctor on board, to which I replied: “I’m a doctor, I’ll help now.”
I tried to stop the bleeding using cotton wool and improvised means that the conductors had, applying cold to the bridge of the nose. But this had no effect – everything was soaked in blood. The bleeding did not stop for about 20 minutes.
I tried to calm the child down and began to think about what to do next. I asked the flight attendants for a first aid kit and found ampoules of adrenaline there. Having opened two ampoules, I soaked two cotton pads with the solution and inserted them deep into the child’s nose. After a couple of minutes, I saw that the blood had stopped,” AiF Krasnoyarsk quotes Mirzoev as saying.
The child came to his senses. As it turned out, the boy had undergone surgery to remove his adenoids the day before, which probably caused the bleeding.

St. Petersburg “Zenith” defeated “Nova” from Novokuybyshevsk in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Volleyball Championship.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 3–2 (25:17, 25:21, 19:25, 20:25, 15:13). Zenit extended its winning streak in the Super League to five matches.
In other matches of the day, Zenit Kazan beat Krasnoyarsk Yenisey at home – 3-1 (25:18, 25:20, 25:27, 25:20), the Dynamo-LO club (Sosnovy Bor) defeated Kemerovo Kuzbass at home – 3-0 (25:15, 25:19, 25:20).
