Volleyball player of the Moscow national team, world champion Evgenia Startseva expressed the hope that her team would be given more days off after winning the Spartakiad.
On Saturday, the volleyball players of the Moscow national team defeated the team of the Republic of Tatarstan with a score of 3:0 in the finals of the Spartakiad. Startseva was recognized as the most valuable player of the tournament. The Moscow national team was represented by volleyball players from the capital’s Dynamo.
– Now I’m very happy! We have come such a long, hard way, and now we can exhale. It’s good that we are with medals.
— In what way were you stronger than the team of Tatarstan?
– We knocked out rivals from the reception. In the first game we had a lot of scoring blocks, 8 blocks. We played well on the block and in defense.
– Moscow “Dynamo” has not won titles for a long time. This victory will certainly serve as a good help in the season?
“I hope we continue the season in the same way. The season is long, and it will end only in May. There is still a lot of work, we have just started the season, everything is still ahead.
– After such a tense tournament, you are probably especially looking forward to the weekend?
Yes, I just really want to go home. Still, we live in a hotel for 11 days.
– How many days off?
– I don’t know yet, the coach hasn’t spoken yet. Hopefully more! Startseva told reporters.
