Bartzokas: “Consistent in the most important points of the game”
Giorgos Bartzokas is certain that later this year Olympiakos will return to the standards they had in the first round of the EuroLeague after beating Baskonia in Vitoria.
Satisfied with the overall picture of his team, George Bartzokas acknowledged the result, its importance and the problems Olympiacos had faced in the previous period. The Greek coach spoke about the rotation and time management of the six key athletes and the four complementary athletes he used against Baskonia on Friday night (4/2) at the Fernando Buesa Arena.
Details of George Bartzokas’ statements:
“It was a very important win for us because we had four defeats in a row. We had 13 cases in 25 days, that affected our game and our situation. Every game and every training session helps us get back to the situation we were in in the first half of the season. As the year progresses, every win becomes more important, especially when it comes away. Congratulations to Basconia and to my friend Neven Spahia.
We stole 13 balls and scored in the surprise. Our defense led their creators to errors, we made 3-4 critical steals, we had second chances and we scored. The game in Madrid was very intense, the details judging it were small. Real put us under a lot of pressure with the ace. We had a day less time to prepare from Baskonia, we had to open the rotation, we didn’t have Larentzakis and Eisi while McKissick had gastrointestinal disease and played a little. My concern was how to make the changes to help those who ended up not having the strength to return. I substituted Dorsey seven or eight minutes before the final, Sloukas was very tired. But we were consistent in the key points of the game“.

Lakers player independently fixes dislocated finger during Dallas game
Los Angeles Lakers player Marcus Smart He described how he removed his finger during an intervention attempt and then reattached it:
“My finger popped out again, so I had to put it back in. I put it right back in. It was the same finger that had been operated on before, so it was a little scary, but it would still be fine.”
I sprained my operated finger and thought, “I don’t want to quit playing.” I quickly tried to set it up and if it hadn’t worked I would have left the site long ago. But I managed to get back into the game.
It’s part of basketball, it’s part of me. I’m a tough player, things happen and I want to help the team in any way possible, whether it’s with ten fingers or nine fingers,” Smart said.
While Los Angeles Lakers defeated Dallas Mavericks with a score of 116:110, Smart played 32 minutes and played with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks during this time.
Previously, Luka Doncic shared his feelings about returning to Dallas.

Fan support? It was really special. I didn’t know what to expect because I know how the city responds to such cold weather, but I’m really grateful to a lot of people for coming.
