Great loss. Golden State’s star player will not be able to play for the rest of the season
Golden State Warriors star Jimmy Butler The club announced on its official pages that he would miss the rest of the season.
Butler was diagnosed with a cruciate ligament injury in his right knee that would require surgery.
Jimmy left the game with 7:41 left in the third quarter in a game against the Miami Heat, collapsing after making an errant landing following a pass and clutching his right knee in pain. The star striker was immediately removed from the field.
Before his injury, Butler managed 17 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals in 21 minutes.
He averaged 20 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game in 38 games this season.
The Warriors currently sit eighth in the Western Conference with a 25-20 record.
