BAGATSKIS: “I want to focus on the quality of what we prepare”
The Ukrainian team will play against Turkey, Poland and Slovenia in Istanbul.
“We have the opportunity to immediately compare ourselves with the well-equipped Turks with the Slovenes, who will probably be in the best squad, and of course the Poles are far from a gift. No team is a gift. All things considered, I will probably limit players at some points as no one is ready to play right now. The maximum is 20 minutes. Naturally, this will not be the case in official matches. But now we’re going to play the minutes, we’re going to limit the time, unharmed so there’s no injury.
I want to see teamwork and communication in these matches. Everything else will be fine. I don’t know what the result of the friendly matches will be, but the main thing is we do what we do in training, we polish it. I want to put more emphasis on the quality of what we are preparing,” said Bagatskis.
