Prometheus stuck in London due to air traffic controllers strike, first available flights on Sunday

Air traffic controllers’ involvement in the general strike has left Prometheus stranded in London after the London Lions game, with the first available flights scheduled for Sunday. Half of the squad will try to return with the coach.
Prometheus pulled off a great win yesterday (3/15) against the London Lions on day 16 of the EuroCup in London, but that win has already… turned sour. The reason; Patrinos are stuck in London over air traffic controllers taking part in the general strike and the next flight for which tickets are available is scheduled for… Sunday (19/3)!
According to the new data presented, tomorrow (17/3) half of the team will try to return by bus (a 14-hour journey) via Bulgaria, and the other half as soon as tickets become available.
It is recalled that Prometheus is scheduled to host AEK for game 19 of the Basket League on Saturday (18/3, 7:15 p.m. ERT3) with all options currently open.

Prometheus with castle in the EuroCup first leg

In the round of 16 of the EuroCup, Prometheus meets the Frenchman Bourg, who wants to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Burg will be Prometheus’ first opponent in the EuroCup KO matches. The French team defeated Tsedevita away 88-76 to finish fifth in Group A to find themselves on the way to Patrina, who finished fourth in Group B and will have that game at home.
James Palmer is Burg’s top scorer with 16.2 points, while Pierre Pelos (5.2) and Amida Brima (5) are the top rebounders. Veteran Axel Julien is the most creative player with 3.3 assists, coached by French veteran Frédéric Foutou.
If Prometheus takes Burg, they meet the winner of the Prometheus-Hamburg duel. The remaining couples are Gran Canaria – Bursaspor, Badalona – London Lions, Turk Telekom – Brescia, Ulm – Buduchnost, Hapoel Tel Aviv – Venezia, Lietkambelis – Paris.

Heavy defeat for Prometheus in Israel and waiting for an opponent in the next phase of the EuroCup

Prometheus also failed to make it in Israel against Hapoel Tel Aviv, suffered a bitter defeat on the 18th day of the EuroCup, but did not lose the home field advantage in the next phase, where they are waiting to find out their opponent.
As in Patras, Prometheus suffered a heavy 108-69 loss to Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel, which doesn’t seem to suit them at all. Thus, Yannis Christopoulos’ team finished their duties in the EuroCup group stage with a record of 11-7, giving them fourth place and home rights in the next stage of the competition. Giannis Christopoulos’ team will have to wait for the end of the 18th matchday to determine their opponents in the round of 16.
The race
Hapoel Tel Aviv started with a good morning shot at Prometheus’ racquet, a plan that proved very effective as they had 11/15 two-pointers in the first period that they used to have 28-19 (10′) finished.
As time went on, the gap began to narrow, by half-time it was 28 points (59:31, 20′), with the home side celebrating a party in the suit and Arnoldas Kulboka being the only reliable solution for the Patrinas in the scoring, after setting 12 points.
Aside from a good phase in the third period, the picture of the game didn’t change in the second half either, with the Patronos suffering a heavy defeat that they were to recover immediately.
