NEW YORK – Jarrett Allen will replace James Harden at Sunday’s All-Star Game, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced Monday.

Allen joins LeBron James’s team. The team specifically includes Fred VanVleet, of the Toronto Raptors.

Allen will be competing for the first time in his career – as are VanVleet, Darius Garland, Andrew Wiggins, Ja Morant, LaMelo Ball and Dejounte Murray.

Allen has a career-high 16.2 points and 11.1 rebounds per game this season. He is in his fifth season in the NBA.

Recently, Harden was injured in the back of his left thigh by the Nets in the 76ers.

The 71st Annual Classic will take place on February 20 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.

Allen and Garland will represent the Cavaliers.

The other leader is Kevin Durand of the Nets.
