Back Tyrik Evans was reinstated by the NBA on Monday after a nearly three-year ban for violating the league’s rules on drugs.

The 32-year-old American, with the right to re-enter the championship from last year, officially got the right on Monday after a long process, that is, he can now start negotiations with teams.

Evans received a two-year suspension on May 17, 2019 after testing positive for drugs. He is the first player to be sent off and reinstated after Chris Andersen, who was reinstated in 2008.

He was voted rookie of the year in 2010 with the Sacramento Kings (2009-2013), he also played for New Orleans (2013-2017), Sacramento (2017), Memphis (2017-2018) before joining the Pacers.
