DeMar DeRozan scored 37 points as he extended an NBA record as the Chicago Bulls beat the Atlanta Hawks 112-108 on Thursday night.

DeRozan now has at least 35 points and at least 50% shooting efficiency in eight consecutive games.

He made 15 of 21 shots and had 5 points in the last minute to help the Bulls win their sixth straight game. They are the leaders in the Eastern Union.

He also had at least 30 points in his ninth consecutive game, the longest such streak by a Bulls player since Michael Jordan (10 games) in 1991.

Zach LaVine contributed 20 points on his return after losing all three games before the All-Star break with a left knee injury.

Nikola Vucevic had 12 points and 10 rebounds in the victory, while Tristan Thompson added 11 when he came off the bench in his debut with the Bulls.
