The match between the Toronto Raptors and the Indiana Pacers was interrupted on Saturday night due to a fire that would temporarily break out in the heights of the Scotiabank Arena.

With 4:05 seconds left for the second ten minutes, the authorities warned both teams to retire to the locker room. With firefighters on the scene, spectators walked away as a precaution to allow authorities to carry out their work.

According to the Toronto authorities, a loudspeaker on the roof of the Scotiabank Arena caught fire during the race. Images circulating on social media show some flames around a loudspeaker. The flames did not last long and the authorities interrupted the meeting to continue the investigation and ensure that the environment was safe.

A Raptors spokesman described the incident as “a small electric fire” over Section 103.

At the moment, it has not been decided yet if the fight will be repeated. The Raptors were ahead of the board with a score of 66-38.
