“Guys from Russia are just being dumped.” Even in the US, shocked by judicial lawlessness in the UFC

The judges saw a draw in the fight between Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blachowicz. This decision surprised everyone.

The outrageous decision of the judges in the main fight of the UFC 282 tournament between Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blachowicz for the vacant UFC title made a lot of noise. The duel was declared a draw, which was not agreed not only by the Russian fighter, but even by his opponent from Poland. Blachowicz acknowledged the victory of his opponent in the octagon!

The decision of the judges was condemned even by foreign fans!

“The judges are smoking something fizzy”

By the final buzz in Magomed Ankalaev’s fight for the vacant UFC light heavyweight title against Pole Jan Blachowicz, most MMA fans watching this fight were unlikely to have any doubts about the Russian’s victory. Magomed interrupted his opponent in four rounds out of five. Yes, in the first three rounds the fight was close, but obviously you can give Blachowicz a maximum of two five minutes.

Against the background of such a picture of the battle, the decision of the judges to award a draw looks ugly. It is not at all clear what fight they were watching. It is especially surprising that the decision of one of the judges to award Ankalaev a victory in the last round with a score of 10-8 was decisive in the scoring. If not for such a verdict, Blachowicz would have become the winner … Sheer absurdity!

Even a couple of seconds before the announcement of the result of the fight, the Polish fighter was pointing in the direction of Ankalaev, hinting at his victory. And after the verdict, he even interrupted the interview of the Russian fighter, naming Magomed the winner of the fight. Not only Russian MMA fans, but even foreign ones did not agree with the decision of the judges:

JJWill: What a clown show. Ankalaev was robbed tonight. He should be in the next title fight. UFC loses all credibility!

TheKevinAuld: Ankalaev did enough to win. I hate to say it, but perhaps this is the price Russians are paying in today’s political climate. I don’t think the UFC is corrupt, but they can influence the results of fights. And fans like you and me will never be privy to it.

_maakaveli: What the hell? Ankalaev won that fight. Wow. The judges are smoking something crazy!

TurOle1399: I counted the victory 48-47 in favor of Ankalaev. It seems that this decision is completely political. UFC another champion from Russia is unprofitable.

JacksHXT: Complete nonsense! In the first three rounds the fight was close, only in the second Blachowicz was definitely better. The last two most confidently took Ankalaev! Victory is absolutely his. Guys from Russia are frankly leaked.

2020 Olympics champion boxer Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his career

Olympic champion and former interim WBA super featherweight champion Albert Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his professional career.

At the beginning of July in Istanbul at the “IBA.PRO 8” tournament, Batyrgaziev lost early to the British James Dickens and lost the IBA.PRO champion and interim WBA champion titles in the second featherweight division. For the 27-year-old Russian, this was the first defeat in his professional career.

    — I want to tell you honestly about my plans. Many people ask about their future career. Now I have decided to take a conscious break from my professional career. For me, boxing has been and remains a huge part of my life. Therefore, this choice is now very difficult. My whole sports life has been a race to the top: four Russian championships, an Olympic medal in Tokyo and then turning professional, where I went undefeated.

The last fight on July 2 was a turning point for me. The first defeat made me look at many things differently. I thank Allah for the trials and mercies that helped me become a better person. Since I have always felt a responsibility not only in the ring, but also before society, now is the time to become more active in projects that I have long planned, for example, supporting the development of sports infrastructure in my native regions. This doesn’t mean I’m saying goodbye to the ring. I remain an active boxer. But now all my work is outside of it. I thank everyone for their incredible support along this path: both in moments of triumph and in moments of challenge. She gives strength. I promise this new chapter will be just as honest and purposeful. I’m not saying goodbye, I’m just saying “goodbye,” Batyrgaziev wrote in the Telegram channel.

Batyrgaziev won gold in the weight category up to 57 kg at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. In the professional ring he has 12 wins and one loss.
