The UFC formalizes its card with Shevchenko and Teixeira

The UFC has confirmed two championship bouts and its first pay-per-view event in Southeast Asia.

It had been planned since January that 42-year-old light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira would defend his belt against Jiri Prochazka on May 7, without knowing where he would be presented. So they will meet in Singapore.

Added to this is a duel between fly champion Valentina Shevchenko and Taila Santos.

Shevchenko will be making her seventh title defense as she attempts to extend her winning streak to eight.

Also confirmed are matchups between former champion Robert Whittaker and Marvin Vettori, in addition to Brendan Allen v. Jacob Malkoun and Kyung Ho Kang v. Saimon Oliveira.

Teixeira (33-7) won the belt in October when he defeated Jan Blachowicz by submission at UFC 267. He has won his last six fights, earning his first title shot ahead of Jon Jones in 2014.

For his part, Prochazka (28-3-1) has only fought twice in the octagon since signing with the organization in 2020. He was, however, impressive against Volkan Oezdemir and Dominick Reyez . He won his last 10 fights by K.-O.

Wilder makes bold promise to Usyk ahead of 2026 fight

Former WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder The unified champion of the league commented on a possible fight against Alexander Usik.

Wilder said, “The fight with Usyk is a great chance. This is an opportunity to compete for championship belts again. If I win, I will become champion again. Next year will be very important for me. When this fight happens, it will change my life. I will shock the world again.”

Previously, Alexander Usik (24-0, 15 KOs), the holder of the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight titles (over 90.7 kg), talked about his plans and admitted when he plans to end his professional career. The boxer recently vacated his WBO title and lost his status as absolute world champion.

Alexander Usik passed Anthony Joshua A special gift from the Ukrainian army: a tactical watch made from a 105 mm cartridge case. This was reported by television producer Oksana Gnatyshin.

Hnatyshin said: “The dial is made of the bullet casing that was effectively used against the enemy in the Volchansk direction. A special detail is a second-hand FPV drone as a sign of gratitude and respect to the UAV operators of the Vovkulaki special forces, who destroyed the invaders in the Kharkov region for more than 18 months. This is not just an accessory. It is a symbol of wartime, the power and indestructibility of Ukraine.”

Previously, Usik gave Joshua an embroidered shirt with the image of a Kazakh.

US President Donald Trump shared his impressions of the fight between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua, which ended in the defeat of the blogger-boxer.

“I watched the fight between Jake Paul and Anthony on the plane. Paul performed very well. Anthony, who is very talented and strong, showed great courage in his fight with Joshua.

It was a wonderful sight. “I have great respect for Jake for his tenacity and his ability to take on a much larger opponent, let’s be honest,” Trump said.

A big boxing show took place in Miami, USA, on the night of December 19-20, 2025. In the main fight, American entertainer Jake Paul and former world champion Anthony Joshua entered the ring. The fight ended in the sixth round – AJ brutally knocked out his opponent.
