Olympic champion, world and European boxing champion Alexander Povetkin said he would be rooting for Ukrainian Alexander Usik and Russian Dmitry Bivol in their next fights with Anthony Joshua and Saul Alvarez, respectively.
– Who is the best heavyweight in professional boxing for you right now? Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk?
– Hard to say. In any case, I will root for Usyk.

The fight between Bivol and Saul Alvarez will take place on the night of May 8 in Las Vegas. On account of 31-year-old Bivol 19 victories in professional boxing (11 of them by knockout), he performs without defeat. Alvarez, 31, has won 57 fights (39 by KO), with 1 loss and 2 draws.

Former Swedish national team player, advisor to the company that owns Milan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, posted a photo with ex-UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Monaco midfielder Paul Pogba.
“The good, the bad and the ugly,” Ibrahimovic captioned the photo on social networks.
Khabib Nurmagomedov had 29 fights in MMA and won 29 victories. He retired in 2020 as the UFC lightweight champion.
Pogba was suspended for four years for doping violations, but the athlete’s period of ineligibility was reduced to 18 months and expired on March 10, 2025. On June 29, the footballer signed a two-year contract with Monaco as a free agent.
