Why didn’t anyone try to stop this outrage?
The unsuccessful performance of students cannot make coaches happy, and sometimes it is impossible to contain their emotions. However, when it comes to beating after a lost fight, it is very difficult to choose the right epithet for such a would-be coach, avoiding profanity.
The shameful incident at the tournament in the Orenburg region causes indignation and many questions.
“Private owner as a coach”
All-Russian wrestling competitions in the Orenburg region will certainly leave a pleasant impression on the winners and prize-winners. But one of the young Dagestan athletes will probably want to quickly forget the trip to these competitions.
The young wrestler performed unsuccessfully on the mat, which infuriated the coach. He publicly grabbed the student, then slapped him in the face and kicked him. The incident was caught on camera and spread across social networks. The beating in the hall turned out to be only the first part of a resonant video compilation. In the second, the young athlete is lying on the floor, either in the locker room or in some utility room, and the coach kicks him in the head.
Upon closer inspection, questions arise as to whether the two videos are part of the same story, or whether the coach is beating different athletes. The color of the uniforms of the victims varies, and the shade of their hair seems to vary as well. The victim in the second part of the video wears a uniform with the letters AZE, which hints at the Azerbaijani origin of the wrestler, and the coach, judging by the recognition of the Ministry of Sports of Dagestan, is related to the Karabudakhkent region of the republic. However, each of these episodes separately requires the adoption of the most stringent measures.
— He (the coach) turned out to be Alaudin Ataev from the village of Karabudakhkent, Karabudakhkent district, but it’s hard to call him a coach. Moreover, it turned out that he was not one. This is a private owner who decided to try himself as a coach, and his students were mainly the children of his relatives and friends. I can assure you that this person will never work with children in any gym again,” said the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Dagestan Sazhid Sazhidov on social networks.
“There are many questions”
The Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR) also responded to the shameful episode. The head of the organization, Mikhail Mamiashvili, was extremely outraged by what happened and said that he was in contact with the main Ministry of Sports of Dagestan.
– Where do these “trainers” come from… What was also shocking was that no one around even thought to intervene and stop this shameful incident. As I understand it, this is some kind of private school. Who gave her the license, who controls it? There are a lot of questions,” RIA Novosti Sport quotes Mamiashvili.
The resonant moment has already aroused the interest of the police and prosecutors. So far the investigation has not come to any specific conclusions, so there is no need to rush to accusations. Who issued the license to whom and who became a coach in what way, the competent authorities will figure it out. But in any case, it is pointless to argue that such episodes have no place in children’s sports.

2020 Olympics champion boxer Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his career
Olympic champion and former interim WBA super featherweight champion Albert Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his professional career.
At the beginning of July in Istanbul at the “IBA.PRO 8” tournament, Batyrgaziev lost early to the British James Dickens and lost the IBA.PRO champion and interim WBA champion titles in the second featherweight division. For the 27-year-old Russian, this was the first defeat in his professional career.
— I want to tell you honestly about my plans. Many people ask about their future career. Now I have decided to take a conscious break from my professional career. For me, boxing has been and remains a huge part of my life. Therefore, this choice is now very difficult. My whole sports life has been a race to the top: four Russian championships, an Olympic medal in Tokyo and then turning professional, where I went undefeated.
The last fight on July 2 was a turning point for me. The first defeat made me look at many things differently. I thank Allah for the trials and mercies that helped me become a better person. Since I have always felt a responsibility not only in the ring, but also before society, now is the time to become more active in projects that I have long planned, for example, supporting the development of sports infrastructure in my native regions. This doesn’t mean I’m saying goodbye to the ring. I remain an active boxer. But now all my work is outside of it. I thank everyone for their incredible support along this path: both in moments of triumph and in moments of challenge. She gives strength. I promise this new chapter will be just as honest and purposeful. I’m not saying goodbye, I’m just saying “goodbye,” Batyrgaziev wrote in the Telegram channel.
Batyrgaziev won gold in the weight category up to 57 kg at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. In the professional ring he has 12 wins and one loss.
