Umar Kremlin: “I would like for Bach the most cruel punishment after our claim”

The President of the Boxing International Boxing Association, Umar Kremlin, on the air of the “Match TV” program, spoke about the essence of the organization’s complaints about the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to allow Lin Yuitin from Taiwan and Iman Helif from Algeria to participate in the 2024 Women’s Boxing Games in Paris.

Earlier it became known that IBA intends to file a complaint to the General of Switzerland to this decision of the IOC.

In 2023, IBA was removed by Lin Yuitin and Helif during the World Cup in India because of the inconsistency of the criteria for admission. As a result of the gender test, it was proved that the athletes have XY chromosomes. In the same year, the IOC session excluded IBA from the Olympic movement, and then the IOC allowed Lin Yuitin and Helif to the Olympics. As a result, both athletes won gold medals.

– What are the prospects in this lawsuit, how serious it is and what punishment would you like to see in relation to Bach?

– Of course, I would like the most cruel punishment, which can be by law, because it should be still indicative. It was not just some decision by them, they mocked women’s sports and destroyed the dream of athletes, broke their lives and future. And here there should be the most stringent punishments that exist in this direction.

Regarding the prospect. She is, she is already visible. When we initially raised this topic on the protection of women’s boxing and women’s sports, all federations were silent. It’s sad. I am very glad that the boxing family for fair values, for human values, for our athletes, not politics, have at our pedestal. And here is our main task – for centuries to protect sport from the introduction of all kinds of third parties that intervene and destroy that classic appearance and its charter. And our main task is that the prosecutor’s office of countries deal with the question. We will fight to the end, we will not leave this business just like that. We do this so that there is an example to others, so that tomorrow or the day after tomorrow this does not appear, because slowly in society they are trying to introduce the perversion of sports. This should not be. Especially in the International Olympic Committee. Today they are engaged in the destruction of sports, they have already gone into disciplines, ”Kremlin said on the air“ Match TV ”.

Earlier, Kremlin also called on athletes affected by the IOC decision to file court claims against Bach and the sports director of the organization of Keith MacConnell.

In February, US President Donald Trump signed a decree on the ban on participating in women’s sports competitions in the United States. In addition, Trump will seek a prohibition of transgender performance at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los -Angeles (USA).

2020 Olympics champion boxer Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his career

Olympic champion and former interim WBA super featherweight champion Albert Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his professional career.

At the beginning of July in Istanbul at the “IBA.PRO 8” tournament, Batyrgaziev lost early to the British James Dickens and lost the IBA.PRO champion and interim WBA champion titles in the second featherweight division. For the 27-year-old Russian, this was the first defeat in his professional career.

— I want to tell you honestly about my plans. Many people ask about their future career. Now I have decided to take a conscious break from my professional career. For me, boxing has been and remains a huge part of my life. Therefore, this choice is now very difficult. My whole sports life has been a race to the top: four Russian championships, an Olympic medal in Tokyo and then turning professional, where I went undefeated.

The last fight on July 2 was a turning point for me. The first defeat made me look at many things differently. I thank Allah for the trials and mercies that helped me become a better person. Since I have always felt a responsibility not only in the ring, but also before society, now is the time to become more active in projects that I have long planned, for example, supporting the development of sports infrastructure in my native regions. This doesn’t mean I’m saying goodbye to the ring. I remain an active boxer. But now all my work is outside of it. I thank everyone for their incredible support along this path: both in moments of triumph and in moments of challenge. She gives strength. I promise this new chapter will be just as honest and purposeful. I’m not saying goodbye, I’m just saying “goodbye,” Batyrgaziev wrote in the Telegram channel.

Batyrgaziev won gold in the weight category up to 57 kg at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. In the professional ring he has 12 wins and one loss.
