The situation with Agalarov influenced the dismissal of Talalaev from Akhmat, Gadzhiev believes

Football coach Gadzhi Gadzhiev said that he was not surprised by the dismissal of Andrei Talalaev from the post of head coach of Akhmat.

Akhmat officially announced the dismissal of Talalaev on Sunday. On Saturday, the Grozny club hosted PARI NN at home. The meeting ended with the victory of the guests with a score of 3:1. The best scorer of the last RPL season, Hamid Agalarov, moved to Akhmat in the offseason. This season, he took part in 6 matches (scored 1 goal), but in the starting lineup he appeared in only one game.

“I can’t say it came as a surprise to me. Frankly, I didn’t think about it. Although there were separate stages when Talalaev worked well.

– Was Talalaev’s resignation well-deserved?

– I can not say that it is well-deserved. But something was building up inside. The situation with the forwards affected. Talalaev said that he needed Agalarov, but the result was an incomprehensible situation. If you didn’t have to pay money for it at all, there would be a different conversation. The club has a question, why did we spend money on a striker who does not play? I think it played a role. The last result of the team, of course, also influenced. The emotional component was essential in this parting.

– Is it difficult for a coach to work in Grozny? Does Akhmat’s leadership require much?

– It is difficult for a coach to work everywhere. Basically, these are strict requirements and a small amount of authority. In the same “Zenith” mentor is always under pressure. They always fight for the first place. When Semak was appointed after the foreigners, there was also pressure. Where to just work? In CSKA or Dynamo? In “Ural”, they say, it’s also not easy to work.

    Former coach of the Cameroon national team Valery Nepomnyashchiy hopes for the victory of the Moroccan team in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations.

    The national teams of Morocco and Senegal will play the final of the tournament, which will be held on January 18. For the first time since 2004, the Moroccans have reached the decisive stage of the competition. Then they lost to the Tunisian team with the score of 1:2. In 1976, the Moroccan team won the tournament.

In 2024, the Senegal team lost to the future winner of the tournament, the Ivory Coast team, in the round of 16 (1:1, 4:5 on penalties).

    OFFICIALLY. Nottingham remove Zinchenko from team’s Europa League bid

    English “Nottingham Forrest” decided to exclude the defender of the Ukrainian national team Alexandra Zinchenko From the team’s application for the 2025/26 Europa League season.

    Information about this was published on the official UEFA website. The 29-year-old football player’s place in the European cups was taken by Nigerian national team player Ola Aina, who played only seven matches this season due to injuries.

    Zinchenko’s contract belongs to Arsenal and expires in June 2026. In September 2025, the Ukrainian defender joined Nottingham on loan and has already worked under the guidance of three different coaches.

    The Ukrainian has played ten matches without scoring a goal in all competitions this season. Nottingham did not provide an official reason for the Ukraine national team defender’s exclusion from the Europa League.

    Nottingham ranked 11th in the Europa League with 11 points after six weeks. Sean Dyche’s men will have to play two matches on the main stage against Portuguese Braga (January 22) and Hungary’s Ferencvaros (January 29).
