Rostec subsidiary RT-Capital has notified its intention to apply to the arbitral tribunal to declare the football club Krylya Sovetov bankrupt, according to a message published in the Unified Federal Register of Legally Significant Information on the Facts of the Activities of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Other Economic Entities (Fedresurs).
“OOO RT-Capital notifies its intention to apply to the arbitral tribunal to declare it insolvent (bankrupt) JSC »PFC “The wings of the Soviets”, reads the message.
On December 1, enforcement proceedings were initiated to collect a debt of more than 928 million rubles from Krylya Sovetov in favor of RT-Capital. Previously, the decision to collect the debt was made by the Moscow Arbitration Court, then the 9th Arbitration Court of Appeal confirmed this decision. The football club has borrowed funds for financial support, but has not met its debt repayment obligations since 2016.
On December 30 the club announced that it had paid 535 million rubles to repay the debt, and in the first half of January it paid off debts of another 54 million rubles. As of January 20, Krylia Sovetov will have to pay 519 million rubles, including 454 million rubles of principal debt and 64.9 million rubles of performance fee.
On Monday, the RT-Capital company filed a claim with the Moscow Arbitration Court against Wings of the Soviets in the amount of almost 146 million rubles. Krylia Sovetov said the club had not yet received a request for compensation and therefore the scope of its requests was not understood.
