Lokomotiv’s board will consider the incident around the midfielder’s participation by the end of next week Dmitry Barinov in the Russian Cup match with Akron. This was announced on Friday by the Chairman of the Board of Muscovites Yuri Nagornykh.
Next week, the entire situation with the match with Akron, with the related question and the results of an internal audit conducted at the club, will be reviewed by the board of directors. We consider this situation absolutely unacceptable and harmful both for the image of the club and for its financial position and interaction with partners. The Management Board will look into this very seriously. The club suffered damage, but not only the club: the players suffered because the match would not have brought the desired result anyway, the fans suffered, who came and actively supported the club, for which many thanks to them.
On March 16, Lokomotiv announced on its official website that it had applied a disciplinary sanction to the employee who had to fill out the form with the team for the meeting with Togliatti.
The situation is very difficult and the most in-depth assessment will take place in the board of directors. Will it be a fine? All decisions will be made during the meeting of the Board of Directors. An internal check has now been carried out: the club’s lawyers have presented their opinion, but all assessments and decisions will be taken directly by the board of directors. Nobody will stop this situation, because it is unacceptable.
