Manuel Fernandes said that he was spied on at Lokomotiv, and Smorodskaya forced him to donate blood

Former Lokomotiv midfielder Manuel Fernandes said that during the period when Olga Smorodskaya was the president of the club, he was spied on and forced to take blood tests before every morning workout.

Fernandes played for Lokomotiv from 2014 to 2019, played 144 matches in which he scored 34 goals and scored 29 assists. Also in Russia, the midfielder played for Krasnodar.

— There was a period in my second season (2015-16) when I played only in the Europa League matches, was always available, but sat on the bench. Not because I didn’t want to – the coach’s decision.

If I didn’t show up for training, the club could terminate my contract because it’s a breach of contract. Olga wanted me to forgo money from my December paycheck because of the exchange rate. And I said no. She has to say that she made me do random blood tests in the morning before training, and people spied on me, even asked my doorman to contact the club if he saw anything suspicious.

What I left at Lokomotiv remained there in the form of titles and achievements, and most of that was after she left. This is not a coincidence, – quotes Fernandes Metaratings.ru.

Smorodskaya was the president of Lokomotiv from July 2010 to August 2016.

On Saturday, Lokomotiv will host Krasnodar as part of the 20th round of the WORLD RPL. Live broadcast on Match TV and MATCH PREMIER channels will start at 19:15 Moscow time. The broadcast will also be available on matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.

Bulykin named the position that Spartak needs to strengthen

Former Russian national football player Dmitry Bulykin expressed his opinion on how Spartak could strengthen during the winter window.

What kind of player does Spartak need in the winter transfer window? First of all, another goalscoring striker. They are already in a good position and can fight for the championship, but due to the atmosphere in the team there were disagreements.

Now we need a good coach who unites them with a single goal and task. If I were in Spartak, I would find another goalscoring striker in the winter and fight for the championship.

Amorim explains Casemiro’s surprise substitution against Newcastle

Mentor Manchester United Reuben Amorim he said he replaced the midfielder Casemiro during the 1–0 win over Newcastle United because he felt the Brazilian would “struggle” with the intensity of the second half.

Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte formed United’s midfield duo in the absence of Bruno Fernandes, who missed the match with a hamstring injury, but Amorim replaced the Brazilian with Leni Yoro in the 61st minute.

After seeing his number on the substitution board, Casemiro pointed to himself and was disappointed with Amorim’s decision to replace him so early in the match.

Asked to explain Casemiro’s substitution, Amorim replied: “At that moment I didn’t want to shoot [Матеуса] Cunho because he is the only one who allows us to be creative and I put him in position number 10. Jack [Флетчер] it was fresh and could continue, Manu [Угарте] he was cooler than Casemiro. In the end we decided to replace him because they were making a lot of quick passes and I felt that at that point he would have difficulty.”
