Former Angers head coach Abdel Bouazama has received a one-month ban from the French PFL, according to RMC Sport.
Buazama resigned after he was accused of making sexist remarks in support of one of his players in early March.
On March 2, it became known that Angers defender Iles Shetty was charged with sexual harassment – he touched an unfamiliar girl in a nightclub. Buazama commented on the incident to the team: “It’s not bad. We all touched the girls.”
Buazama was criticized after these words, he was accused of sexism. After appealing to the national ethics council of the French Football Federation, the disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League decided to suspend the coach for one month from any work in football.
The decision comes into force on April 11, although Buazama is no longer coaching Angers.
