Denis Ugarov, winner of the Russian Cup with Zenit, told RB Sport that Andrey Kobelev could give a result by heading Dynamo.
Kobelev worked at Dynamo in 2004-2012 and 2015-2016.
“It often happens with teams that are not spoiled for victories: success is followed by a fall,” says Ugarov. – I think Dynamo could be trained by a Russian specialist. They are now saying: we, they say, will intensify. But it is not clear who can strengthen now. It’s a pity, there are decent guys there who could progress, but this did not happen this season.
– Why does Dynamo choose a coach from foreigners?
– Can not say.
– Andrey Kobelev for what reason does not train for so long, do you know?
– Don’t know. He was in Dynamo. People there change in leadership, they have their own views. They want to try something new. Schwartz was appointed – it worked. And then – no.
– Are there coaches in Russia who could make Dynamo successful?
– The same Kobelev. A very worthy candidate, in my opinion. He could get results.
– And so the ninth place in the year of the 100th anniversary of the club is a failure?
– Well, of course. This is what the leaders of Dynamo understand.
Dynamo ended the season with 45 points in ninth place in the WORLD RPL standings. In the FONBET Cup of Russia, the Moscow team lost to Akron (0:0, 1:4 on penalties) in the semi-finals of the Path of Regions.
