An extremely unpleasant episode in the transition matches of the RPL.

In the first play-off for the right to play in the MIR RPL next season, Krasnoyarsk Yenisei and Voronezh Fakel met. Despite the great advantage of Vadim Evseev’s team, the owners of the sensational arena held firm and could well bring the match to a draw. But, unfortunately for them, it did not happen.

In many ways, the negative result of Enisey is associated with an incomprehensible act of defensive midfielder Oleg Lanin. Why do this?

Only with VAR

The episode in question took place at the 56th minute, when zeros were on the scoreboard of the arena “Football Arena Yenisei”. The ball was owned by Fakel defender Igor Kalinin. At this moment, Yenisei midfielders Oleg Lanin and Nikita Razdorskikh went to the selection. After the collision, both Krasnoyarsk citizens got up and ran to the defense, while the Voronezh citizen remained writhing on the lawn and screaming in pain.

“Fakel” carried out an unsuccessful attack, after which the referee Sergei Karasev issued a pending yellow card to Lanin. On this incident could be considered settled. Moreover, Oleg approached Kalinin and asked for forgiveness. It would seem, what else could it be?

But the referees at VAR suggested to Karasev that not everything is so simple in the clash. It turned out that Lanin … stepped on Kalinin with spikes right in the groin area when he got up from the lawn. Of course, Oleg could have done it simply by negligence, but this moment does not become less terrible.

After watching the replay, Karasev abruptly changed his mind. Returning to the field, he gestured that he was canceling the yellow card, and then took out a red one. The match and the entire season for Lanin ended ahead of schedule.

scored the former

The removal of the defensive midfielder finally finished off Enisey, which was not playing the best match anyway. The Krasnoyarsk team completely gave up the initiative and only occasionally made forays into someone else’s penalty area. But it didn’t come to blows.

But Fakel managed to score in the majority. Yenisei goalkeeper Yevgeny Staver interrupted the cross with his fist, but the ball did not bounce very far, and Sergey Bozhin tried to shoot towards the goal. A small rebound played into the hands of Evgeny Markov, who opened the scoring from close range. By the way, the Torch striker played for Yenisei at the dawn of his career.

Unrealistic task

There were no more goals scored in the match. Yenisey lost minimally (0:1), and its chances for a promotion in the class became completely illusory. In Voronezh, Fakel usually performs very powerfully. This season in the south of Russia, even some of the top clubs stumbled.

In addition, it should be taken into account that Lanin is one of the fundamental players in the Krasnoyarsk club. A native of the Krasnodar system, he took part in 29 matches of the MELBET-First League, mainly playing in the support zone. Yenisei head coach Alexei Ivakhov will have to rack his brains to find a replacement for the player.

The return game between Fakel and Enisey will take place on June 10 in Voronezh. Watch the live broadcast on Match TV and MATCH PREMIER TV channels, as well as matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites. The broadcast starts at 17:25 Moscow time.
