The Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (FTC RFU) disqualified Spartak defender Georgy Jikia for two matches of the Russian Championship (one conditionally) for obscene statements in the match of the 30th round of the WORLD RPL with Wings of the Soviets (0: 1).
At the 43rd minute, Jikia, being on the bench, received a warning for unsportsmanlike behavior. After that, he went to the edge and yelled at the referee, for which he received a direct red card. The game was officiated by referee Alexei Amelin.
– We took into account that Jikia had never been to the KDK. He had only one red – for disrupting the attack. He had no disciplinary reds – we took this into account as a mitigating factor. Nevertheless, George was removed for profanity.
The decision is to disqualify Jikia for two matches of the Russian Championship for insulting behavior towards the official member of the match, of which one is real, the second is conditional. And fine the player for 250 thousand rubles. The probationary period is one year, – said the head of the RFU FTC Artur Grigoryants, whose words are betrayed by the Match TV correspondent.
Spartak finished the Russian championship in third place. The new RPL season starts on July 23.
