“By the fifth round of the RPL, there will be an understanding of whether Spartak is able to compete with Zenit for the championship” – Shishkin

Former Spartak footballer Roman Shishkin believes that by the face-to-face match with Zenit in the 5th round of the new season of the WORLD RPL, it will already become clear whether the Red-Whites are able to compete with the St. Petersburg club in the fight for the championship.

The new RPL season starts on July 21-23. Spartak and Zenit will meet in the fifth round in Moscow.

– After the games with newcomers, in the fifth round Spartak will meet with Zenit.

– Just the matches before this meeting will be indicative in terms of how the teams will be ready. But, in theory, they should be ready from the first round. It is unlikely that everyone will lose shape in such a short break. One and a half collection is enough to restore the condition. So by the fifth round there will be an understanding of both the standings of the teams and whether Spartak will compete with Zenit in the fight for the championship, – RB Sport quotes Shishkin.

Last season, Zenit won the RPL gold medals ahead of schedule, becoming the champion for the fifth time in a row.
