The head of the refereeing committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Pavel Kamantsev, said that on June 30, a meeting with representatives of the MIR RPL clubs would take place in Moscow.

On Tuesday, it became known that Serb Milorad Majic was appointed head of the refereeing department of the RFU. He replaced Kamantsev, who will continue to work as chairman of the referee committee.

– At the general meeting of the RPL clubs, you suggested that the clubs postpone the discussion of refereeing issues until the end of the championship. When will this meeting take place?

– Not certainly in that way. Refereeing was not to be discussed at the general meeting. The agenda included the issue of compensation for refereeing expenses, but its discussion was postponed. The clubs also had a desire to talk in general about refereeing, but we considered it wrong to discuss this issue in the midst of the fight for medals and maintaining residence in the RPL at the general meeting of clubs, so we proposed to meet in the RFU in a more relaxed atmosphere at the end of the season.

Now that the clubs have solved their tournament tasks, this meeting will be more effective and constructive. On June 30, we will provide the teams with information about the results of the season, and also share a plan for the development of refereeing in the new season. In addition to me, the chief national instructor Nikolai Levnikov will take part in it, ”Match TV quotes Kamantsev as saying.

The 2023/24 season starts with the match for OLIMPBET Russian Super Cup between Zenit and CSKA, which will be held on July 15 in Kazan.
