FIFA issues statement on Auckland shooting

There was a shooting in downtown Auckland on Thursday morning. According to the latest data, two people died and many others were injured. The attacker also died.

Fifa released a statement about the incident. As a reminder, New Zealand and Australia will host the Women’s World Cup, with the opening match between New Zealand and Norway scheduled for today. The European national team is staying in a hotel near the theatre.

Fifa Expresses its deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims who lost their lives in this morning’s crash in Auckland/Tamaki-Makaurau, Aotearoa, New Zealand, our thoughts and prayers are with those affected.

Immediately after the accident, the president Gianni Infantino and the secretary general Fifa Fatma Samura has contacted the Aotearoa authorities. Fifa he is also in constant contact with the participating teams affected by the incident.

Fifa advised that this was an isolated incident unrelated to football operations and that tonight’s opening match at Eden Park will go ahead as planned. Fanfest times Fifa in central Auckland/Tamaki-Makaurau will be confirmed in due course.

Support is provided to participating crews in close proximity to the scene for any impact that may have occurred.

Spartak allowed Bongonda to leave the club for free

The Moscow football club “Spartak” gave permission Theo Bongonde leave the team for free during the winter transfer window. The journalist reported this on his page on the social network Sasha Tavolieri.
