FTC RFU issued a decision on Dziuba for rude communication with a journalist

The Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (FTC RFU) suspended Lokomotiv striker Artem Dzyuba for two matches conditionally for insulting a journalist, and the athlete was also fined 50 thousand rubles.

Earlier, the striker, who missed the match of the fourth round of the WORLD RPL against Krylya Sovetov (1: 1) due to damage, reacted rudely to the question of the RB Sport correspondent, promising to put the journalist’s phone in “one place” next time.

– Dziuba was not in the application [на матч с «Крыльями”], however, according to the regulations, he is a “subject of football”. A disciplinary violation occurred on the territory of the stadium. The violation was committed immediately after the match. So it’s all within the jurisdiction of the committee.

We first listened to Borodin, he repeated his question and explained that he was both an accredited journalist and in a photographer’s bib. Dziuba said in his speech that he did not know who approached him.

Artem said that the journalist pursued him, he could not restrain himself and expressed his words to the journalist. After listening to all parties, the FTC decided to disqualify Dziuba for two matches conditionally and fine him 50 thousand rubles. Set a trial period until the end of the season.

The fine can be appealed. A suspended sentence can activate a second violation.

The journalist did not consider himself offended. He didn’t take it as an insult. If such behavior is in relation to match officials, then this will be considered a different article. If the journalist considered himself offended, then there could be a real punishment. Dzyuba admitted his guilt, believes that he did wrong.

– Did the journalist ask Dziuba at the meeting of the FTC, where did he want to put his phone?

– Artem did not answer this question. Representatives of the club answered: he could mean – by the collar, in his pocket, purse.

The territory at the stadium is a place where specialists go out and give interviews. If Dziuba did not want to give an interview, he could have said so. There was such a case, the guard protected Dzyuba from the same journalist, representatives of Loko said this. If the situation had unfolded on the territory, conditionally, of the shopping center, then nothing would have happened.

– Speaking of persecution, what did Dzyuba mean?

– He was with the children, said this phrase, and they left.

– How do you assess this situation?

“I consider Dziuba’s behavior unacceptable for a football player,” the Match TV website quotes the words of the head of the RFU, Artur Grigoryants.

In the 5th round of the MI RPL, Lokomotiv will play on the road against Krasnodar. The meeting will take place on Saturday, August 19. Watch the live broadcast of the match on the Match TV channel, starting at 19:15 Moscow time. You can also follow the progress of the meeting on the sites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.

The former president of the Ukrainian Football Federation is wanted in Ukraine

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has placed the former president of the Ukrainian Football Federation (UAF) on the wanted list. Andrei Pavelko. This comes from Ukrainian data Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the database, Pavelko is accused of two criminal articles: embezzlement, misappropriation of property or misappropriation of property through abuse of office, committed on a large scale or by an organized group, as well as official forgery.

On October 9, it became known that the former UAF president had been indicted on new charges. As clarified by the Strana publication, the investigation believes that Pavelko and a group of other Ukrainian football officials took possession of 9.32 million euros, which UAF received from the Union of European Football Associations (of UEFA) in 2015-2016.

Pavelko had previously been accused of carrying out bribery schemes during the construction of a plant to produce artificial turf for football pitches. In this case, the president of the association was arrested in November 2022, but managed to get bail. In June 2023 he was arrested again; only in February 2024 did he win the appeal and was released. In the same year, according to Ukrainian AveragePavelko traveled abroad, submitting a certificate of disability. Then “Strana” associated the persecution of Pavelko with the fact that Vladimir Zelensky was pressuring him to force him to hand over the position of president of the association to Ukrainian footballer Andrei Shevchenko, who eventually led the UAF in January 2024.

The RFU does not rule out Karpin merging the posts again

Russian Football Federation (RFU) does not rule out an agreement with the coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin reconciling work in the national team and the club. The Secretary General spoke about it in an interview RFU Maxim Mitrofanov.

In November Karpin announced his departure from Dinamo Moscow; he had been working at the club since June. Later, in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel, he ruled out a future combination.

“Never say ‘never’, everything happens in life,” Mitrofanov said in response to the question of whether he agreed RFU once again combining Karpin. — Basic RFU against the combination of the work of the national team and club coaches. But during the period of exclusion from official competitions this combination is in some cases possible; several coaches, even at the helm of the national teams, combine their work with that of the club”.

“If we talk about the normal competitive period in which the federation and its team should exist, the combination is impossible, the coach and his staff must be completely focused on the team and solving the assigned tasks. We do not know whether Valery Georgievich will ever contact us again with the question of the combination. I don’t think he knows it either. But it seems to me that he himself has drawn important conclusions and expressed them. The combination places a greater burden on the football team. There, too, they must correctly evaluate their capabilities. When a coach is in the national team, objectively he cannot deal with club matters,” Mitrofanov added.

Previously, Karpin also combined work in the national team and Rostov, but left the club in February this year.
