They deserve some criticism. “Atalanta” Marina Miranchuk, “Roma” – for relegation

And Napoli stopped being so brilliant.

Serie A started off great: Inter is in 1st place, Milan, after a serious strengthening, is ready to return to the top three and fight for the scudetto, Juventus is also there. But alongside the positive events there are reasons for negativity. We are talking about Atalanta, Naples and Rome.

A team with Lukaku in the squad is in the relegation zone

It’s worth booking now: the Italians only played 3 rounds. After they’ve passed, it’s too early to even think about the trends that will appear over the course of the entire season. But at the time of the break for the national team matches, the picture is this: Roma, under the leadership of Jose Mourinho, is failing in the first half. The “yellow-reds” have limited resources, they lost Ibanez, Kluivert and others – in total they earned 74.5 million euros from the sale of players. At the same time, they bought only 9, most of which were spent on renting Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea. The purchase of the Belgian is a great success, given Abraham’s injury and Romelu’s high level in Italy.

In addition to him, Leandro Paredes, Evan Ndika, Houssem Aouar, Serdar Azmoun and Renato Sanches came to Roma. Despite this, José Mourinho’s team, even with the externals Salernitana and Verona, is in serious difficulty. Roma lost against the Mastini (1:2), and shared points with the Granati (2:2).

The mentor also managed to stand out: we already know that Mourinho will miss 4 European Cup matches for insulting referee Anthony Taylor after the final THE. At the start of the Italian Championship he was suspended for 10 days due to another incident: after the match with Monza, the coach also attacked Daniel Chiffi. In the third round against Milan, the Portuguese returned to the coaches’ deck – but after Milan’s goal from a penalty, he began to sarcastically applaud the referee, and after the end of the match (1: 2 defeat) he refused to communicate mass media. It has long been known that Mourinho is a capricious and scandalous manager. But right now the Romans are on a powder keg. On the one hand there are problems in the league, on the other there is a coach who adds fuel to the fire. Also a quick start THE worries: given that the Giallorossi scored 1 point at the start, it is not clear how they will be able to play on 2 fronts

Atalanta and Miranchuk are at a standstill

Bergamaski confidently entered the championship, gaining 6 points in three rounds – they are in the top 5. The negativity has more to do with the unfolding of events with Alexey Miranchuk. It is clear that the Russian’s prospects with Atalante are dubious: the midfielder is already 27 years old, this is not the age at which players make significant progress. During his career in the national team, the player never entered the starting lineup and never got used to Gasperini’s requests.

The loan to Turin became a lifesaver and Alexey spent his best season in Europe. It would have been better for everyone if Torino and the Bergamo players had organized a complete transfer. But the latter set a price that the “garnet” refused to accept. And Atalanta’s position is understandable: they want to get at least something from the sale, given that they took the Russian for 14.5 million euros. At the same time, the mentor does not want to lose the depth of the bench – Alexei’s agent recently noted:

He [Миранчука] I had a nice and fruitful conversation with Gasperini, during which the coach said: “Lyosha, prepare calmly. You won’t go to the national team. We’ve been watching you, we know you, everything will be fine. You will have opportunities, so work for them.

The 27-year-old midfielder recently returned to training with the main group after recovering from injury. We will still have to fight for a minimum of playing time, despite the fact that in Turin itself there was at least the guarantee of stable practice and the status of one of the leaders.

Napoli no longer needs innovative ideas and a brilliant attack

There was no visible failure at the beginning of the season, even if there were such fears, since Rudi Garcia can hardly be called a supporter of Spalletti’s ideas. In 3 rounds – victories over Frosinone and Sassuolo, defeat against Lazio. The root of the complaints is in the content. The usual variety of options for developing an attack during ball possession no longer exists; the structure has become much simpler. Victor Osimhen now influences the game even more in the final third, but above all with his aerial presence.

Positional attack is not the strong point of the French coach’s teams, which is why the Neapolitans stagnate in this aspect. Midfielders suffer the most – Stanislav Lobotka loses weight in building attacks – Anguissa can at least compensate for this with the volume of work without the ball and duels.

All hopes are for the Milanese

Someone has to compensate for the negative elements. As said at the beginning of the text, Milan and Inter can do it. The first complicated the structure of the game and started with three consecutive victories – during this time the newcomers managed to shine: Tijani Reynders, Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

As for the Nerazzurri, the team had an excellent transfer campaign: unlike their neighbors, they didn’t invest a lot of money, but concentrated on free agents and loans. Furthermore, Simone Inzaghi’s contract was extended. Thanks to the active work of the breeders, the Nerazzurri are serious competitors in the fight for the Scudetto. Yes and inside Champions League they are ready to have fun.

The former president of the Ukrainian Football Federation is wanted in Ukraine

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has placed the former president of the Ukrainian Football Federation (UAF) on the wanted list. Andrei Pavelko. This comes from Ukrainian data Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the database, Pavelko is accused of two criminal articles: embezzlement, misappropriation of property or misappropriation of property through abuse of office, committed on a large scale or by an organized group, as well as official forgery.

On October 9, it became known that the former UAF president had been indicted on new charges. As clarified by the Strana publication, the investigation believes that Pavelko and a group of other Ukrainian football officials took possession of 9.32 million euros, which UAF received from the Union of European Football Associations (of UEFA) in 2015-2016.

Pavelko had previously been accused of carrying out bribery schemes during the construction of a plant to produce artificial turf for football pitches. In this case, the president of the association was arrested in November 2022, but managed to get bail. In June 2023 he was arrested again; only in February 2024 did he win the appeal and was released. In the same year, according to Ukrainian AveragePavelko traveled abroad, submitting a certificate of disability. Then “Strana” associated the persecution of Pavelko with the fact that Vladimir Zelensky was pressuring him to force him to hand over the position of president of the association to Ukrainian footballer Andrei Shevchenko, who eventually led the UAF in January 2024.

The RFU does not rule out Karpin merging the posts again

Russian Football Federation (RFU) does not rule out an agreement with the coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin reconciling work in the national team and the club. The Secretary General spoke about it in an interview RFU Maxim Mitrofanov.

In November Karpin announced his departure from Dinamo Moscow; he had been working at the club since June. Later, in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel, he ruled out a future combination.

“Never say ‘never’, everything happens in life,” Mitrofanov said in response to the question of whether he agreed RFU once again combining Karpin. — Basic RFU against the combination of the work of the national team and club coaches. But during the period of exclusion from official competitions this combination is in some cases possible; several coaches, even at the helm of the national teams, combine their work with that of the club”.

“If we talk about the normal competitive period in which the federation and its team should exist, the combination is impossible, the coach and his staff must be completely focused on the team and solving the assigned tasks. We do not know whether Valery Georgievich will ever contact us again with the question of the combination. I don’t think he knows it either. But it seems to me that he himself has drawn important conclusions and expressed them. The combination places a greater burden on the football team. There, too, they must correctly evaluate their capabilities. When a coach is in the national team, objectively he cannot deal with club matters,” Mitrofanov added.

Previously, Karpin also combined work in the national team and Rostov, but left the club in February this year.
