Goalkeeper of “Yenisey” Evgeniy Staver received a three-match suspension in the First League for a conflict with a boy serving balls. The boss announced it FTC RFU Arthur Grigoryants.
After the away match of the 14th round with Khimki (0:1), the goalkeeper, as well as other Krasnoyarsk players, aggressively expressed complaints to the ball boy in connection with his actions during the match. Staver received a red card. The Yenisei press service later published a video of the actions of the ball boy, who repeatedly threw the ball away from the goalkeeper during the match.
Staver got in touch via video link. Khimki’s security chief was present in person. There is an article in the First League regulations which states: clubs are also responsible for the behavior of their employees before, during and after the match. The people who serve the balls are club employees who perform functional tasks.
We watched the video and established all the cases when the person serving the ball deliberately did not fulfill his functional duties: he threw the ball into the goal and so on. Staver told us that the 17-year-old boy stood behind his goal in the first half, and followed him in the second half.
For failure to fulfill his functional duties and for violating the regulations Khimki was fined 25 thousand rubles. As for Staver, he hit a Khimki employee in the head area with his hand – this is aggressive behavior. Evgeniy said that he was provoked, there was a constant conversation, the players informed the referee, and only at the end of the match did the reserve referee come up and scold the guy. They replied to Staver that this is not an excuse, lynching cannot be practiced and the football field is a place where football is played. Disqualification: three matches.
