Neftchi Baku midfielder Reziuan Mirzov said that Spartak, led by Domenico Tedesco, is the strongest team in his career.
Mirzov moved to the Moscow club in 2019, signing a three-year contract, but spent one full season with the red-and-whites. In total, the midfielder played 33 matches for Spartak, scored one goal and made two assists.
— We are still in touch with Tedesco. I didn’t fall into his scheme, but everything was fine in terms of relationships. By the way, the most annoying thing is that now in the Belgian national team he plays 4-3-3, but when he was in Spartak he played 3-5-2. Domenico told me through Chepzanovic, with whom I called: “If I had played 4-3-3 in Spartak, you would have played for me, Mirza!”
Domenico congratulates me on my birthday and congratulated me on my goals. Tedesco is very cool. When I didn’t fall into his scheme, he came up to me and said: “Mirza, I love you very much, but this is how it turns out. I hope you understand.” When a coach treats me like this, how can I be angry with him? In general, Tedesco’s Spartak is the strongest team in which I played,” Mirzov told the Championship.
Tedesco coached Spartak in 2019–2021.
