The results of the Moscow football club Lokomotiv will largely depend on how the new general director is appointed Boris Rotenberg — the junior will work with the team’s athletic director Dmitry Ulyanov. On Wednesday it became known that Boris Rotenberg Jr. will instead take over as general director of Lokomotiv Vladimir Leonchenko.
“The news is not shocking, we wish Rotenberg good luck. For me the main figure in the club is always the sporting director, because he does everything for the team to achieve results,” Bulykin said. “And in that regard, Rotenberg knows both areas, so we’ll see how he does.”
“The general director often deals with all issues, even those very far from football. And the sporting director focuses on football, on strategy, on development, on player transfers, on communication with each of them. Because he needs to know what is happening in the team to react. This connection must bring results, because without it no one needs a football club,” he added.
