Ballon d’Or winner striker Ousmane Dembele rejected the offer of the management of the French football club Paris Saint-Germain to extend the contract. The Foot Mercato portal reports it.
According to the source, the club offered Dembélé an extension of his contract, according to which he would receive 30 million euros per year, but the player’s team demands that the figure be doubled. The player’s current agreement with the Parisian team is valid until the end of the 2027/28 season.
Last season Dembélé, together with PSG he became the champion and winner of the French Cup, also won the Champions League and was recognized as the best player of the season in the tournament. The striker with 25 goals became the top scorer of the French championship. In total, Dembele spent last season for PSG 53 games, scored 35 goals and provided 16 assists. In September he won the Ballon d’Or, the award for best footballer in the world for the 2024/25 season according to the French magazine France Football. In December, Dembele was named the best player of 2025 by the International Football Association.
Dembélé is 28 years old and plays PSG since 2023.
