Midfielder Andrea Chukanov told why Lokomotiv Moscow did not renew his contract since 2015.
Chukanov played for the railway youth team from 2013 to 2015. After leaving Lokomotiv, he signed an agreement with Tyumen.
– I knew for half a year that I would not be renewed. Although I scored 12 goals, while Rifat and Lesha Miranchuk had 10 each. Apparently, the management did not like it.
Did you have any explanation for this decision? It’s extremely weird.
– They just passed it through an agent that in six months to go out. Then, through third people, I found out that the agent was not the right one. Young Loko players had to work with only one agent. Because of this, many guys left the club. Plus, then Lokomotiv relied on legionnaires – maybe they decided that they didn’t really need their own youth, – said 26-year-old Chukanov in an interview with Sport24.
Previously, Chukanov also played for Veles and Orenburg. Now he is a free agent.
