The African Super League starts next year

The first edition of the African Super League will take place in August 2023. This was announced by the president of the African Football Confederation Patrice Motsepe.

24 teams will play in the tournament, which will be selected based on their evaluation. FIFA. These teams will be divided into 3 regional groups followed by a play-off for 16 teams. The African Champions League will continue to exist alongside the new tournament. The project is supported by the official African football authorities, so it will most likely be implemented.

Previously, the Africa Cup of Nations had been rescheduled.
