Ivlev said that Dinamo is ready to change the limit for foreign players

Dynamo Moscow is ready to change the limit for foreign players in the Russian football championship. The president of the Dynamo board of directors said this in an interview. Alexander Ivlev.

Ministry of Sports RF proposes to tighten the limit for foreign players by 2028 according to the “10 foreign players in the application, 5 in the field” scheme.

“I can say that Dynamo is ready for these changes. We have wonderful young people who have grown up in the club. And a good core of players at the level of the Russian national team. I think most teams RPL (Mir – Russian Premier League – known source) will be ready for this too. We hope that this will have a positive effect on the quality of play of Russian players,” Ivlev said.

“I believe that foreign footballers have already become part of the ecosystem of Russian football. Those sparks of Latin American and African football that we see performed by the masters in our league, of course, give an additional effect in terms of beauty of football, artistry and all this is also passed on to our players. Therefore, we absolutely cannot refuse these opportunities,” Ivlev added.

According to the current limit, clubs RPL can include 13 foreign players in the application and release 8 foreign players on the pitch. In September, the Russian Football Federation said the current limit allowed young players’ playing time to be increased to 18% for the first time.
