“We won’t be bored.” Italians mock Kokorin after transfer to Cyprus

Fiorentina fans waited for the departure of the Russian striker.

The inglorious story of Alexander Kokorin at Fiorentina is over. A year and a half after the transfer to Florence from Spartak, the Russian striker went on loan to the Cypriot Aris until the end of the current season.

11 matches, 216 minutes on the field, 0 effective actions and 2 yellow cards – these are all the successes of the Russian in the Violets. Hardly anyone expected such depressing numbers. Italian fans have long found the culprit in this transfer failure – it turned out to be the club’s sports director, Daniele Prade. The specialist trusted the advice of Fabio Capello and Roberto Mancini, who worked with the player in Russia, and paid a solid 4.5 million euros for him.

After the transfer announcement, the Florentine fans breathed a sigh of relief. And now they are spreading the Russian striker on social networks!

Italians are almost never sad

The vast majority of Italian fans are happy about Kokorin’s departure. And this is not surprising: the club has long tried to fuse a useless player, but the Russian stubbornly did not go for a deal, not wanting to give up a good salary. Now that the “violets” still managed to get rid of the ballast, the fans began to scoff at the would-be attacker with might and main:

natyfiore: We will never miss him…

fisio2661: Prade, I was afraid that he would stay with us until retirement.

acidoldf: No-o-o! And this is now, when he learned to say hello in Italian! What a bummer!

ricky_485: Finally this stupid player left the squad.

bunobruno123: Has this really happened. The most shameful transfer in many years, only for this Prade had to step down.

Many commentators, having learned about Kokorin’s departure, decided to practice irony. However, the true message of their messages is easily visible:

alessiomorelli: Tell me it’s not true…

soloperoggisolopervoi: A heavy loss… You will all see how we will regret it later…

Giuliocoppoli: I still don’t believe it…

bovinelli: For those who are sad. I remind you that he is on loan and will remain our player until June 2024. There is still hope that he will return and score goals. I would say that the chances are small, but still …

simoncini.giacomo: We will miss the guy who was throwing out the garbage in the center of Florence in slippers …

“Went to warm up”

Kokorin’s transition was also appreciated by Russian ex-football players who played in Europe. The ex-midfielder of Celta Alexander Mostovoy and the former striker of Bologna Igor Kolyvanov expressed their opinion:

– Kokorin has been at Fiorentina for two years. There is no need to draw any conclusions here, because the person simply lived in Italy. In Cyprus, at least play a little. And he earned money and lived in Italy – the class is simple. I went to Cyprus in the weather, went to warming. There can no longer be any talk of sports ambitions. The guy is good and talented, but he spoiled the ending of his years, ”Championship” quotes Mostovoy.

– It’s even funny. In the last two years, you could not even say or write anything about him, he still does not play. He went out for five minutes, he would give two passes: one to his own, one to someone else. Once he was a good footballer with excellent potential, but after that incident he was still lucky that he signed a contract with Sochi and fired. Well, what is the championship of Cyprus? If you just go and just relax, – quotes the words of Kolyvanov “Match TV”.

Cyprus is the last chance for Kokorin

The likelihood that after a loan at Aris, Alexander will return to Fiorentina is close to zero. Of course, the Russian striker is able to arrange a scoring extravaganza in one of the weakest European championships, however, this is unlikely to convince the leadership of the Florentine club.

By and large, the season in the league of Cyprus will show whether Kokorin has at least something left of his former self. If the former Zenit and Dynamo striker fails there too, it’s hard to imagine what options will open up for him after the lease expires. Popularity in Russia is gaining Medialiga, which may become the last refuge for a once great talent.

The RFU hopes FIFA will listen to the IOC’s position on youth teams

Russian Football Federation (RFU) hopes that the International Football Federation (FIFA) will follow the recommendation of the International Olympic Committee (THAT IS) subject to the admission of youth teams. The Secretary General spoke about it in an interview RFU Maxim Mitrofanov.

In December THAT IS recommended removing all restrictions for young Russian athletes and allowing them to participate in all competitions with the anthem and flag.

“This recommendation has become an important event for all Russian sports. We see that in many sports international federations are making decisions on the admission of our athletes,” Mitrofanov said. “And there are more and more such decisions.” Recommendation THAT IS plays an important role in this process. Let’s proceed from the fact that FIFA this recommendation will be heeded.”

“At the same time, it is important to understand that the popularity and attention, including at the state and political level, towards different sports in Europe are different. The large international basketball, hockey and football federations are more careful in analyzing the decisions they make. They probably already realized that they have overdone it in 2022. Now it is even more difficult for them to get out of this situation, also because they are afraid of facing the position of a large number of countries which, at the state level, will hinder the implementation decisions about our return,” Mitrofanov added.

Russian clubs and national teams have been suspended from international tournaments due to the situation in Ukraine.

Mitrofanov positively assessed Dzyuba’s invitation to the Russian national team in 2025

Invitation from the Togliatti Akron striker Artem Dziuba joining the Russian national football team was a positive event. This opinion was expressed in an interview by the general secretary of the Russian Football Federation (RFU) Maxim Mitrofanov.

In March Dzyuba scored against the Grenada team (5:0) and passed Alexandra Kerzakova in terms of goals for the Russian national team, he scored 31 goals.

“I rate it positively [приглашение Дзюбы в сборную]. I think it was a good decision by our coach [Валерия Карпина]Mitrofanov said. “The footballer deserves this opportunity. I am quite relaxed in counting records, but for the players and fans this plays a role. It is also important that the coach allowed the player to prove himself, showing that he had no conflict with Artem.”

“He is a good guy and a good footballer and he took the story very positively. He managed to score, it was clear from Artem’s emotions that he really wanted it,” Mitrofanov added.

In December Kerzhakov announced on his Telegram channel that he had sent a request to the International Football Federation (FIFA) about the authorship of the second goal of the Russian team in the friendly match against the German team on June 8, 2005 (2:2). If RFU admits that the goal was not scored Andrei Arshavinand Kerzhakov, then he will again share first place with Dzyuba.
