Loud anti-war messages at Emirates and Signal Iduna Park
The footballing world continues to call for an end to the war in Ukraine, with Arsenal – Leicester and Dortmund – Arminia giving players a chance to send messages of unity and peace.
The war in Ukraine continues for 18 days following the Russian invasion in the early hours of February 24, and while the death toll mounts dramatically, so do voices from all parts of the world for the return of world peace.
Of course, sport is an area that allows the world to express its feelings, and the people of football, through their influence, try to send their own special message in favor of peace.
A case in point on Sunday afternoon was the game in the Emirates, where just before the start of the Premier League game between Arsenal and Leicester, players from both teams held a large flag of Ukraine together and displayed the following message: “Football stays united”.
A similar message existed for the prevalence of peace in Germany and specifically at Signal Iduna Park, where just before the first cross Dortmund – Arminia for the Bundesliga, the players of both teams stood in midfield and held up a banner with the following crystal clear and non-negotiable message : “Stop the war”.

The Bayern players dropped the ball and sang the song to wish us a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
In Germany, the campaign traditionally ends on the Christmas holidays. This gave the Bayern players the opportunity to escape from their everyday competitive routine. They wore colorful blouses to match the season and wished us a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
The German champion’s video featured Thomas Miller, Manuel Neuer, Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala, Tsuppo-Moting, Tell and Sven Urlaich. Everyone happily sang birthday songs and shared best wishes.
Of course, as always, Thomas Miller felt most comfortable in front of the camera, and the video below is an irrefutable witness.

The Bundesliga has announced the best line-up in the Bundesliga’s 60-year history, with Bayern dominating the line-up.
The Bundesliga is celebrating its 60th anniversary and let fans choose the best eleven of all time. The results of the vote were announced on Friday (December 22nd).

Bayern: “The door to the European Super League remains closed, our task is to strengthen the championship”
Bayern insist they have not changed their stance on the European Super League, stressing that it is the duty of clubs to support their domestic leagues.
The European Super League added another big no, this time from German champions Bayern.
Following the decision of the European Court of Justice that the creation of the newly created organization is not illegal, the announcements from the European clubs follow one another.
Bayern CEO Jan Christian Dressen assured that the team would remain true to its original position and emphasized that it was their job to strengthen domestic competitions.
Analytically:
“We have taken the decision of the European Court of Justice into account. However, this does not change the position of Bayern and the ECA that such an event would represent an attack on the national leagues and the structure of European football.
The Bundesliga is the basis of Bayern, as all national leagues are the basis for other European football clubs.
It is therefore our duty and our deep conviction to strengthen them and not to weaken them. We are also involved in European competitions under the auspices of UEFA.
That’s why I would like to make it clear once again that the door to the European Super League remains closed to Bayern.”
