Napoli 2-0 Braga: Heels and luck took them to the round of 16
Napoli did its duty against Braga and qualified for the round of 16 with a 2-0 win as the second team from Group 3 of the Champions League.
Napoli defeated Braga with 2:0 in “Diego Armando Maradona” and took 2nd place 3rd group the Champions League, followed Real in the round of 16 and sent the Portuguese into the Europa League.
The Portuguese came out strong and only needed a win to catch up and overtake the Italians in 2nd place. In the 9th minute, however, a counterattack caught Serdar Saatsi Matheus’ heel and gave the home team the lead without finishing.
The guests kept their foot on the gas, but Napoli found the second goal with their heel, against the counterattack and without pressing! This time Victor Osimen got into a foursome with Mateus, he tried with his heel, the ball hit the other leg and left the Brazilian goalkeeper hanging again in the 33rd minute to make it 2-0.
Arthur Jorge’s players were frustrated by the developments and slowed down. In the second half, Matteo Politano almost made it 3-0, but it all seemed to be over. The Italians, on the other hand, were busy managing the game, while the Portuguese were busy with Germany, seeing if Union would be defeated and at least stay in third place.
The post deprived them of the opportunity to reduce the score and so the game ended without any particular emotions.

Guardiola: In football you will be able to perform better in the future
Earlier, English Manchester City played a match against French Monaco in a new round of the UEFA Champions League.
After the match, the head coach of the “Locals” Pep Guardiola commented on the performance of the powerful team.
“In football you can always perform better – and this is the result. Our game today was very good in many ways. And step by step we will improve our results.”
Ale mi gave many speeches today in the right way. We created many scoring opportunities and found Phil Foden active in the first half. Most Gravians played at a fairly high level.
Previously, they did not let their opponents create anything, but created the chances themselves. We adapted very well to the superniks and played very well. This is my opinion.
If you get a good match on the right side, of course you have to… Today we got a great ball, that’s all I can tell you right away.
Holland? It’s really good. He plays to score goals. He struggled with three centre-backs and two supporting defenders in front of him, and it wasn’t easy for his partners to know that. Ale, we can work hard to score goals.
Tse bula spravdi garna gra. We created a lot of chances, but unfortunately in the end we didn’t defend perfectly against a free kick, which would have been quite a few, and we conceded a penalty, which was awarded when the ball hit the first one… well, that’s it.
Referee? “I have nothing to say to the Spanish referees,” said the Spanish footballer.
In the coming round, English Manchester City will visit Spanish Villarreal.
