Kurbanov: “Olympiacos can adequately replace the missing ones”

Qarabag coach Kurban Kurbanov referred to the quality of the red-white team in the press conference before the game against Olympiakos.

Olympiacos meets Karabagh on match day 3 of the Europa League groups (October 6, 10 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 2, LIVE Sportish). Kurban Kurbanov spoke at the press conference about the quality of the red-whites and the atmosphere in Karaiskakis.

Kurbanov’s statements in detail:

For the game: “The city is wonderful, as is the stadium. We’ll try to play a good game. Olympiacos have a new coach, we’ll play for the best result. It’s an important game for both teams. They want to win. Me have.” Believe in the team and I think we will do our best.”

Whether his team has problems: “Everyone is almost ready, Jankovic is doubtful. We’ll know on the day of the game if he can play.”

For Olympiakos and Mitchell: “We’re used to it and we’re enjoying the atmosphere we’re going to encounter. We analyzed Olympiakos’ first game with Mitchell, but we don’t know how he’ll play, we don’t have a large sample because of the new coach. He with pace and power played.

We have seen Olympiakos in Europe, we will also play our game to please the world. I don’t want to refer to one Olympiacos player individually. He certainly has important players, but we analyze the team as a whole.”

Whether he sees the game as a final: “Before, with PAOK, we won both games in the group but didn’t qualify. It’s different in the group. The points count. Every point is important. In every game we want to do our best and qualify. The group. ” has very strong teams and we treat them very seriously”.

For the absence of Olympiakos: “The most important thing is that my players are ready. Olympiacos is such a team that any player can adequately replace the missing one. Even if we lose, I want my team to have played well, made a difference on the pitch and shown that they can compete against teams like that and in those stadiums.

Even better to win. It would certainly be better if we had a bigger sample from the new Olympiacos coach and analyzed four or five games, there will certainly be some surprises.”
