La Liga: Barcelona have exceeded the salary cap by 800,000,000
La Liga announced the new salary caps and Barcelona made a €800,000,000 jump, putting the difficulties of previous months behind them.
Actions taken by Barcelona management in recent months have relieved the organization of short-term pay pressures and allowed them to sign players without the salary cap issue that hampered them on several occasions last season.
The ceding of future earnings has saved the lot for now, which is also reflected in La Liga’s announcement of new salary caps, as they do twice a year after the end of each transfer window.
Barcelona can now have wages up to 656,429,000 euros, contrary to the previous announcement in March when they could have wages up to… -144,353,000, ie a negative limit.
The loan deals combined with the summer’s activated reinforcements and transfer activity have boosted the immediate financial margins of the Catalans, who have managed to attract and sign big-deal players like Robert Lewandowski, Rafinha and Gilles Kude.
Barcelona are second in Spanish football, Real Madrid are still first but from March’s 739,163,000 they can now have contracts worth… just 683,462,000. Third force in this list remains Atlético, who also struggled with their salary cap over the summer, eventually closing at 341,040,000, followed by Sevilla at 199,855,000, Villarreal at 151,206,000 and Real Sociedad at 143,199,000.
These limits affect the salaries of first-team players, the first coach, his assistant, coaches, as well as the salaries of partners, people from the academies and other areas of a club. They include fixed salaries and individual bonuses, insurance contributions, collective bonuses, transfer costs (including agency fees) and the annual depreciation of footballers in the club’s books. La Liga calculates them based on transfer earnings, commercial earnings or even future earnings from European competitions.
Clubs do not have to hit the limit, however several teams do and sometimes exceed it, leading to appropriate sanctions from the Spanish football authorities. The salary limits affect the country’s professional groups, i.e. those that make up the first two categories.

Real Madrid have 20-year-old Robert Renan on their shortlist for central defense
Real Madrid have suffered a major blow to their central defense due to injuries and one of the things they have on their list ahead of January is the loan of 20-year-old Brazilian central defender Robert Renan from Zenit.
After the serious injuries to David Alaba and Ender Militao, Real Madrid have entered the transfer market to sign a central defender.
One of the cases that the Merengues are considering, according to AS, is 20-year-old Brazilian central defender Robert Renan, who plays for Zenit St. Petersburg. Madrid initially wants to bring him in with a loan and a purchase option for next summer.
The young footballer is exactly the right person to strengthen the Merengues as he is left-footed and can develop into a very good footballer. This particular formula would also satisfy Zenit, but there is a non-football problem.
Groups linked to the Russian state continue to face sanctions from the European Union (and the US) over the military invasion of Ukraine. Specifically, teams cannot receive an amount over 108,000 euros.
Zenit is owned by Gazprom, one of the most famous oil companies (in the world) controlled by the Russian state.

Barcelona is threatened with exclusion from the new Champions League because of FFP
According to the German newspaper “Die Welt”, Barcelona is threatened with exclusion from the new Champions League due to violations of Financial Fair Play. However, the Catalans are not aware of the specific risk.
A few hours after the legal recognition before the Court of Justice of the European Union of the European Super League, a project that Barcelona and Real Madrid have “operated” from the beginning until today, the Blaugrana are in adventure.
A publication by German newspaper Die Welt reports that the Catalans are at risk of being banned from the new Champions League (for up to three years) due to Financial Fair Play violations. Barcelona announced gigantic profits (a whopping 304 million euros), but according to the report, UEFA will audit the finances as the income must only come from “football activities”.
Barcelona reported on its balance sheet revenue from “Barca Studios”, the project that manages the team’s audiovisual material, such as the team’s official channel (Barca TV).
Sources in Barcelona management told Mundo Deportivo that they were unaware of the scenario in question.
